GUDMAR PETURSSON

Gudmar conducts our Educate & Rejuvenate clinics, oversees and creates the curriculum, hand-selects guest clinicians, and provides the network of contacts in Iceland that help ensure a “native” experience.

Gudmar started riding at age five. Soon after, he was winning competitions. Gudmar holds many Icelandic championship titles and has been very successful in competition in the United States as well. Gudmar is a certified FT competition trainer and as a B instructor, he has earned the highest degree awarded by Holar University. Gudmar travels all across the US and Canada where his clinics are in great demand. The other time he operates a full service equestrian facility in Borganes Iceland, and is also a partner in Fakasel, an innovative horse-theater in Iceland. Gudmar is also the team leader of The Knights of Iceland, an exciting show team that performs all across North America.

NANCY MARIE BROWN

Since 2013, author and historian Nancy Marie Brown has spearheaded our historical trip, “Sagas & Vikings,” based on her books about Viking Age Iceland and Norse mythology. Her wealth of knowledge and passion for Iceland brings customers back year after year. Nancy also guides our Educate & Rejuvenate trips when she’s not busy writing books, editing The Icelandic Horse Quarterly magazine, or riding her Icelandic horses. Rebecca has been riding horses all her life and has been focused on the Icelandic breed for over 17 years. She focuses her time on marketing, organizing the trips, coordinating all of the logistics, building relationships with clients and providers, and escorting the Educate & Rejuvenate trips.
